Supporting the Cavalier Nation

Andrew Murphy

Prior to co-founding GENCapital, I served as Senior Vice President at UBS, a Director in the Private Client Services Division at Deutsche Bank in Atlanta and was a Senior Vice President in the Capital Management Group at Wachovia Bank.

GENCapital is a wealth management firm offering investment management, financial planning and banking advisory services for individuals, families, businesses, and institutions. We established the firm on the belief of providing objective, transparent, and knowledgeable financial advice because it’s the right thing to do.

Calvary helped shape me into the businessman I am today. As a financial advisor, I see the importance of investing in my alma mater. The school relies on charitable donations to continue to broaden the reach of its mission. I have worked closely with this administration and can tell you they are committed to providing a rigorous academic curriculum in a Christian atmosphere. A gift will help improve facilities, provide for the next generation of Cavalier, and continue to make Calvary the best school in Savannah.

I am a Cavalier Supporter. The school will accept donations in many forms: from cash, check, or credit card to stocks and bonds to property and other assets. Calvary Day School is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations; therefore, donations are deductible at both the federal and state income tax levels. Please consider supporting our school!

Of course another great way to give is through the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, Inc. https://www.goalscholarship.org. Essentially, Georgia taxpayers can redirect a portion of their state income tax liability for the program. Contributions made to Georgia GOAL are used to provide scholarships to students to enroll in accredited private schools, like Calvary, for the first time. Individual and corporate taxpayers are eligible to receive a Georgia income tax credit for contributions to the program. Please consult your CPA or tax professional for more information.

So, I encourage all of my fellow Calvary Alumni to invest of your time, talents, and resources. Allow seniors to spend their senior internship with you in March. Come spend time giving back to the current student body by being a guest speaker in class or come to Career Day in April.
You can make one-time gifts through the Calvary website or by mail or phone through the
Development Office. Most importantly, pray for Calvary. The teachers, students, administrators, and parents need our support. They need to feel the love and know that once you become a Cavalier, you will always be a Cavalier.

Thanks for reading! Go Cavs,
-Andy
