Greetings Calvary Alum,

Alumni is defined by Webster’s as “a graduate or former student of a specific school.” It also means “a former associate, member or the like.” All Calvary Day School Alumni have a shared experience. At Calvary, we are striving to improve the student experience every year,  and we need alumni support to do so.

My role as Director of Development is to connect Calvary alumni back to the Day School in a threefold manner. Our goal for Cavalier Alumni is to keep all 2,600 Calvary graduates informed, involved and invested in Calvary Day School’s success.

If you are on this site, you have taken the first step to being informed. We thoroughly encourage alumni to contribute to social media posts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and elsewhere through adding their pictures, posting when they attend or have attended a Calvary event, and sharing Calvary news. The following are excellent places to link to the main alumni social media outlets:
Step two is being involved. Please consider volunteering as a mentor, chapel speaker or attending Calvary Career Day in April. In addition, we welcome alumni participation on one of our Calvary committees, including Alumni, Open House, Curriculum, Marketing, and Legal. If you have any questions about any of the programs mentioned above, please reach out to me.

I want to make sure alumni are excited and motivated so that they will be more active in participating in school events such as Homecoming, Reunion, Career Day, and Calvary Athletic events. You can find upcoming events on the Calvary Day School Calendar.

Finally, and most importantly, we ask that you invest in Calvary Day School. You may choose to invest financially by contributing to the Calvary Annual Fund. You will not only make a difference by your contribution, but you will also help to increase the value of your Calvary degree. Please remember that it is not the amount that you give, but that you give. You can also invest spiritually by praying for all of us here at Calvary. Pray for our staff, students and graduates as our goal is to impact young eternal lives.
In any case, wherever you go in the world, you always have a place at Calvary. On behalf of the Calvary Administration, we look forward to seeing you on campus.

Once a Cavalier Always a Cavalier,
Gordon Hunter
Director of Development
