We are a community of learners and leaders where teaching and learning are stimulating, interesting, and Christ-centered. Students, staff, and parents are supportive of one another and work cooperatively to reach ever higher academic, social, emotional, and spiritual competencies. Differences are accepted and respected by students, staff, and parents. We follow many pathways to learning while sharing goals that unite us, a common core of knowledge, and a belief in biblical truths.
It is our desire to learn more about you and your family and how we may best serve your child. We seek to develop each student: academically, athletically, socially and most of all, spiritually. In turn, we are seeking students who want to integrate and fully invest in the school with their time and talent to obtain the most out of their experience here at Calvary Day School.
Our key verse at Calvary Day School is Luke 2:52, which states: “So Jesus grew both in height and in wisdom, and he was loved by God and by all who knew him.” For the Administration and educators of Calvary, this verse is a presentation of the guiding force behind everything we do. This verse encompasses the four components of a truly Christian philosophy of education: physical growth, intellectual growth, spiritual growth, and social/interpersonal growth.
At Calvary Day School, we are called to a higher mission. We infuse faith into our classrooms, clubs, gymnasiums, playing fields, etc.; in essence, into whatever is being done or taught. At Calvary we also pursue excellence in whatever we do. As a result of this internal pursuit of excellence, Calvary was recognized as the first charter member of the National Elementary Honor Society, and our students are accepted each year into some of the finest colleges and universities in the United States, with over half of these students typically receiving academic scholarships.
Since Calvary Day School opened its doors in 1961, it has been blessed with enormous support from those who seek to further the school’s mission of providing an academically challenging education in a uniquely Christian environment. Exceptional teachers, state-of-the-art facilities, and superior athletic venues are all possible because of the generous support of the Calvary family.
Education is an investment in your child’s future, and we recognize the commitment families make to provide meaningful and lasting opportunities for their children. We are grateful for the trust you place in Calvary Day School to provide a nurturing and engaging environment that supports academic excellence, character development, and spiritual growth.

In 2008, Georgia’s elected officials had the remarkable vision to pass the Education Expense Credit law to provide families in our state with access to better educational opportunities for their children. Their legislative leadership resulted in what has been described as the nation’s best education expense credit law. Since inception, the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program has been leading the way in implementing this important legislation through our ethical, transparent and proven approach.
The Georgia GOAL scholarship program associates do not determine the amount of financial aid a family is awarded for students meeting the eligibility requirements. Arete Scholars exists to help economically disadvantaged children reach their highest potential through educational opportunity. Through private contributions from corporate and philanthropic partners, Arete awards need-based K-12 scholarships and empowers parents to place their children in schools that best suit their unique gifts and learning needs.
Arete currently operates in Georgia under the state's Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program and in Louisiana under the Tuition Donation Rebate Program. Scholarship eligibility is based on the income guidelines for the federal free and reduced lunch program (FRL), and award amounts range from $2,500 to $4,000 per year. Recipients are required to requalify each year.
Arete scholarships are based upon private funds. Calvary Day School does not play any role in determining the amount of scholarship funds a family may be awarded.
Our donors are companies and individuals who care about their community and desire the opportunity to partner with AAA Scholarship Foundation for low-income families in an effort to create a brighter future for all of our children.
Each state has individual guidelines determined by the laws of that state and the accountability guidelines of the AAA Scholarship Foundation. Please choose your state to view details on participation. Please contact our office at 888-707-2465 for additional assistance in donating today!

Calvary Day School is a participating school in the Georgia Promise Scholarship, a statewide program that provides tuition support for eligible K–12 students.
Signed into law in 2024 through Senate Bill 233, the Georgia Promise Scholarship Program is designed to empower families to pursue high-quality educational options outside of the public school system, including private schools and home study programs. Eligible families who choose to leave public school, or who elect not to enroll a child in public school as a new kindergartener, may use scholarship funds toward approved educational expenses.
Allowable uses of Georgia Promise funds may include:
Private school tuition and fees
Required textbooks and curriculum
Tutoring services
Certain physician or therapist services
Transportation services
Other approved educational expenses, as defined by the program
Eligibility for the Georgia Promise Scholarship is determined entirely by the State of Georgia and is based on specific criteria, including residency within a qualifying public school attendance zone. Because eligibility and award determinations vary by family, we encourage families to review the most up-to-date information directly through the Georgia Promise program.
