Grady Witherington Attends Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.

“I really enjoyed Envision! I met kids from all over the United States, and made friends with three from Virginia, Texas, and Arizona. We were divided into Leadership Focus Groups and the advisor for my group was Mrs. Richard from Wakanda, South Africa.

My favorite place we visited was the American History Museum where I particularly liked the History of Transportation exhibit. It was so cool! Our keynote speaker was Anthony Robles. Born with only one leg, he went on to win a National Championship in wrestling for Arizona State. He spoke about the importance of goal setting, character, and endurance. He said, “Commit and tell yourself you are unstoppable and then you can be unstoppable.”

We all spent the last night at the Maryland Science Center. We had the whole place to ourselves and had so much fun running around playing hide and seek and enjoying the interactive exhibits. This whole experience was great and I am thankful I was able to attend.”
