My Story

Anna Barron
At the age of 5, I attended a judgment day event, where I felt the Holy Spirit calling me to be a part of God’s family. Even at this young age, I knew that the Lord wanted ME. As I grew in age, I also grew in faith. I wanted to be a part of God’s family in such a way that I wanted to confess my sin and recommit my life to Christ as often as I could. I learned from mentors and teachers that Christ’s love for me is never ending and never failing. Once I committed by life to Christ, I was His.

The Lord continues to grow my story day by day. At the end of the summer of 2012, my husband and I stepped out in faith and moved almost 900 miles away from home and anything we knew. We depended on each other, and even more, depended on the Lord to provide for our needs. The most recent time that the Lord has used to grow us was in the spring of 2017. The Lord used an event in our lives to grow our dependence on Him. Through this event, He again drew us closer to Him.

Now as a parent, the Lord shows me His grace daily. By His grace, I realize the grace my daughter needs and deserves as she is a little human, just like me. The Lord has not failed me, and I pray that my daughter feels how the unconditional love we have for her can draw her to the Lord as she grows.

The Lord brought us to Savannah in January of 2019. In the search for a place to call home in my career, I found Calvary. The Lord’s hand was in the whole process. When I visited Calvary, there were no openings, and, honestly, I did not expect any to come open, but I knew this was where I wanted to be. The Lord provided again by opening a position, not only in the Lower School, but a position teaching the grade level and subjects that I had taught in the past.

My story does not end here. The Lord continues to write my story as I strive to draw nearer to Him in my daily walk.

Psalm 37:4 “Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
