Director of Fine Arts

August 25, 2021- SAVANNAH, GA- Calvary Day School announces the appointment of Allison Stroud as Director of Fine Arts. Stroud will oversee each of the departments in the Fine Arts Program including theatre, dance, visual arts, chorus, and band. She will also lead the Fine Arts Academy that allows Calvary students to immerse themselves in their area of study with a group or private lessons.
Stroud, a 1997 Calvary alumni, has a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL and MA in Christian Education from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA. She most recently taught theatre at
Oakleaf High School in Jacksonville, FL. During her time at NSU University School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, she taught LS and MS Theatre and took MS Thespian Troupe to State, where we took home Superior placements each year in each category.
Head of School Dr.Hunter Chadwick says, “Allison is an incredible teacher and leader for our Fine Arts department. She has a thoughtful way of curating a curriculum for the department and the Fine Arts Academy. Her skill set, experience, and creativity will allow our program to flourish to give our students a true fine arts education.”
