We provide a rich, developmentally appropriate learning environment tailored to the unique ages and stages of every child. From our Creators (Infants) and Adventurers (Toddlers) to Voyagers (Twos) and Seekers (Threes), each stage of the Early Learning Center journey is intentionally designed to meet children where they are while building the skills and confidence needed for what comes next.

We believe meaningful learning happens through play. Flexible routines, hands-on exploration, and thoughtfully designed interest areas encourage children to grow at their own pace while developing creativity, self-expression, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, responsibility, independence, and reasoning skills.

Faith is woven naturally into each day through Bible stories, prayer, worship, and weekly chapel, helping children understand God’s love and begin building a strong foundation of faith.

Together, these experiences support the development of the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically, while intentionally building Pre-K readiness and preparing children for a confident, successful transition into Lower School.

Birth–12 Months

The first year is filled with growth, connection, and discovery. Our Creators learn through loving relationships, movement, sensory experiences, and play. Calvary’s Early Learning standards, developed using the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards as a guide, provide intentional, age-appropriate learning goals that support the whole child while honoring each child’s individual pace of growth and development.

Physical Development & Motor Skills
From tummy time and reaching to sitting, crawling, and early movement, infants are building strength, balance, coordination, and body awareness. Opportunities to grasp, hold, and explore objects also strengthen the fine motor skills they will use as they grow.

Social & Emotional Development
Warm, responsive relationships help infants feel safe, secure, and loved. Through everyday interactions, Creators begin building trust, expressing emotions, recognizing familiar people, and developing meaningful connections with their caregivers.

Approaches to Play & Learning
Everyday moments are opportunities for discovery. Infants explore with their senses, show curiosity about new objects and experiences, repeat actions they find interesting, and begin learning through simple cause and effect.

Communication, Language & Literacy
Long before their first words, infants are developing important communication skills. Talking, singing, reading, babbling, gestures, and back-and-forth interactions help build the foundation for language and early literacy.

Cognitive Development & General Knowledge
Through play and exploration, infants begin making sense of the world around them. They observe, investigate, recognize familiar people and objects, explore how things work, and begin developing early problem-solving skills.

Biblical Foundation
Even our youngest Cavaliers are beginning to experience the love of God. Through prayer, worship, simple Bible stories, and nurturing relationships, Creators are introduced to the foundational truths that God made them, God loves them, and they are wonderfully created by Him. Biblical truth is naturally woven into everyday moments, laying the earliest foundation for a growing faith.

12–24 Months

The toddler years are filled with movement, curiosity, and growing independence. Our Adventurers learn by exploring, imitating, experimenting, and interacting with the world around them. Calvary’s Early Learning standards, developed using the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards as a guide, provide intentional, age-appropriate learning goals that support the whole child while honoring each child’s individual pace of growth and development.

Physical Development & Motor Skills
As toddlers become increasingly mobile, they build balance, strength, and coordination through walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and active play. Stacking, scribbling, turning pages, using utensils, and manipulating objects strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Social & Emotional Development
Adventurers are developing a growing sense of self and independence. Through nurturing relationships and consistent routines, children learn to express emotions, communicate wants and needs, interact with others, and begin participating in classroom routines.

Approaches to Play & Learning
Curiosity leads the way as toddlers explore new materials, imitate others, make choices, and repeat experiences to build understanding. Play encourages children to take initiative, develop attention, and begin working through simple challenges.

Communication, Language & Literacy
Language grows rapidly during the toddler years. Through conversations, songs, stories, repetition, and daily interactions, Adventurers build vocabulary, connect words with familiar people and objects, follow simple directions, and increasingly use words and gestures to communicate.

Cognitive Development & General Knowledge
Hands-on exploration helps toddlers begin understanding how their world works. Adventurers explore cause and effect, sort and match familiar objects, engage in early pretend play, recognize simple concepts, and use trial and error to solve problems.

Biblical Foundation
Through simple Bible stories, prayer, worship, and loving interactions, Adventurers begin learning that God made them, God loves them, and God cares for them. Faith is naturally woven into classroom routines as children begin recognizing God’s love in the world and people around them.

24–36 Months

Two-year-olds are eager to explore, communicate, and do more on their own. Our Voyagers learn through purposeful play, hands-on experiences, growing relationships, and opportunities to ask, try, discover, and try again. Calvary’s Early Learning standards, developed using the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards as a guide, provide intentional, age-appropriate learning goals that support the whole child while honoring each child’s individual pace of growth and development.

Physical Development & Motor Skills
Voyagers build strength and coordination through running, jumping, climbing, throwing, and active movement. Drawing, building, puzzles, manipulatives, and everyday self-help tasks strengthen fine motor control and growing independence.

Social & Emotional Development
As independence grows, children become more aware of their own feelings and the feelings of others. Voyagers practice participating in routines, developing friendships, expressing emotions, making choices, taking turns, and navigating interactions with peers with teacher support.

Approaches to Play & Learning
Play becomes increasingly purposeful and imaginative. Voyagers make choices, explore new ideas, engage in pretend play, sustain attention for longer periods, and begin showing persistence as they work through challenges and discover new ways to accomplish a task.

Communication, Language & Literacy
Growing vocabulary opens a new world of communication. Voyagers begin using increasingly complex phrases and sentences, participating in conversations, asking questions, following directions, engaging with stories and songs, and developing an awareness of books, sounds, and language.

Cognitive Development & General Knowledge
Early academic concepts are naturally introduced through play and exploration. Children sort, match, compare, count, recognize simple patterns, explore shapes and quantities, investigate their environment, and develop early reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Biblical Foundation
As their understanding of the world grows, Voyagers begin learning more about who God is, His love for them, and the world He created. Through Bible stories, prayer, worship, and everyday classroom experiences, children are encouraged to show God’s love through kindness, helping, sharing, and caring for others.

36–48 Months

Three-year-olds are curious, imaginative, and increasingly independent learners. Our Seekers are ready to ask questions, make connections, build relationships, and take greater ownership of everyday routines and learning. Calvary’s Early Learning standards, developed using the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards as a guide, provide intentional, age-appropriate learning goals that support the whole child while building a strong foundation for Pre-K.

Physical Development & Motor Skills
Seekers develop greater balance, coordination, body awareness, and control through running, jumping, climbing, throwing, catching, and purposeful movement. Drawing, cutting, building, manipulatives, and early writing experiences strengthen fine motor control and prepare little hands for increasingly complex tasks.

Social & Emotional Development
Growing independence and confidence help Seekers become active members of their classroom community. Children build friendships, engage in cooperative play, follow classroom routines, express and manage emotions, take responsibility for age-appropriate tasks, and practice working through conflicts with teacher support.

Approaches to Play & Learning
Curiosity becomes a powerful tool for learning. Seekers ask questions, make choices, use their imaginations, plan and carry out play, sustain attention, and develop persistence as they work through challenges and explore new ideas.

Communication, Language & Literacy
Language and early literacy become increasingly important as children engage in conversations, ask and answer questions, retell experiences and stories, build vocabulary, and follow multi-step directions. Through books, songs, rhymes, and playful language experiences, Seekers also begin developing phonological awareness and early print and writing concepts.

Cognitive Development & General Knowledge
Seekers explore early math, science, social studies, and creative concepts through hands-on learning. Counting, comparing, sorting, patterning, observing, predicting, questioning, experimenting, and problem-solving help children make connections and build foundational thinking skills.

Biblical Foundation
Seekers deepen their understanding of who God is, how much He loves them, and how they can reflect His love to others. Through Bible stories, prayer, worship, and weekly chapel, children begin connecting biblical truths to their everyday lives as they practice kindness, gratitude, forgiveness, obedience, and serving others.

Building Pre-K Readiness
Throughout the Seekers year, children strengthen the communication, independence, self-regulation, early academic skills, classroom routines, and positive peer relationships that help prepare them for a confident and successful transition into Pre-K.
