Welcome to a New School Year!

Susan Tigert
Time has flown by so quickly, but in such a short time, Calvary has become home to my family and to me. I am looking forward to beginning this year with clear focus and vision of where the future is taking us.

This year we will have the theme of commit. Throughout the school year, students will be hearing this recurring message of what it mean to commit on various levels: academically, personally, and most importantly, spiritually. Equipping young people to commit to something seems to be a challenge in today’s world; however, at Calvary, we believe this is a critical component to leading a fulfilling life that God has planned for us.

I firmly believe in the power of prayer. I am committed to lifting the students and staff up in prayer on a daily basis. I pray that the first days of school will be filled with the excitement of renewed and new friendships. I pray that each student who walks the halls of this school will feel the love and compassion we have for each one. I encourage all of you to commit to lifting up our school in prayer on a regular basis, and that can start this Saturday with our schoolwide Prayer Walk. Thank you for sharing your child with us on this educational journey. We are truly blessed.
