Medical Magnet Class Visits Case Veterinary Hospital

Cory Martin
in her family since 1907 when her great grandfather opened it. Dr. Case-McCorvey is now the 4th generation in the family to be the owner and veterinarian at the hospital. Our students were able to gain insight that would not have been possible without the generosity of all those on staff at Case. Our goal within the Medical Magnet class at Calvary is to expose the students to as many different careers within the medical field as possible. This trip truly opened the eyes of our students to another profession that many of them had never even considered. However, several of the students left the visit saying that, “This was one of our favorite trips of the year.”The staff at Case Veterinary Hospital worked so well with our students, allowing them to see several different procedures throughout our time spent there that afternoon. This experience only helped to provide a deeper connection of the curriculum and terminology the students have been learning in class to a real life scenario. We are so thankful to the staff at Case Veterinary Hospital for taking the time to impact our students in a way that could have a lasting effect on their future.
