Calvary Day School’s chorus classes are elective classes. Performances are held in various venues annually. Many performances are held on campus, including events such as the Middle School Chorus and Calvary Singers Variety Shows, seasonal concerts, and the ever-important Spring Musical.
Performers also participate in the Southeastern Choral Arts Festival at Armstrong Atlantic State University. Students are provided opportunities to sing solos in chapel, at concerts, and at various events such as special assemblies and graduation.
During the holiday season, Calvary Singers spread the warmth of God’s love in an assortment of venues such as local retirement homes, the airport, and the annual Christmas Concert.
Soloists, trios, and quartets compete annually in the GHSA Literary Competition. Calvary Singers have been repeat champions at the state and regional levels.
Calvary Singers have had enriching opportunities to develop their talents through trips to New York City and Orlando, where students attended Broadway musicals as well as acting and singing workshops.
Due to rigorous vocal development, students leave the Calvary Singers program with enhanced appreciation for the art of singing as well as with meaningful friendships that carry on through the years.
