  • National Junior Honor Society

As you begin the early stages of greater independence and responsibility as a middle school student, you may discover that you excel in your studies, have an interest in leadership and service, and have a thirst for challenge … and accomplishment.
Membership in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) may be an ideal fit for you! You can become a member through a local selection process that concludes with induction into the school’s National Junior Honor Society chapter.

Through exclusive resources, programs, and services, members have a unique opportunity to prepare for their next steps in life. Membership truly lays the groundwork for lifelong success.
  • Student Government

Middle School Student Government represents students in grades 6-8. The representatives present and organize community and school events for the student body, work to create a positive student environment as a liaison between students, teachers and administration and act as a voice for the student body when times call for change, improvement and better solutions.

The following roles are open for election each year:
Student Government President - 8th grader
    Student Government Vice-President - 8th grader
Student Government Secretary - 8th grader
Student Government Chaplain - 8th grader
Student Government Representative - 7th grader
Student Government Representative - 6th grader

Any student running for election in May must be re-registered for the following school year by the time of elections. Any potential candidate must be a student who has attended Calvary for at least one full school year before being eligible to run for government.
  • Student Life

Middle School Student Life offers many events for our students to become involved in, activities outside of the regular classroom setting in an environment where they get to know their peers and teachers on a more personal level. We offer events in the fall on campus, during Homecoming week, and even separate grade level trips that range from travel to Florida and Atlanta, all the way to Washington DC. We take part in opportunities that foster growth in friendships and relationships through teamwork with such organizations as Operation Christmas Child and also friendly class competitions in raising money for Pennies for Patients for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Last year's class winner won a catered lunch from Olive Garden! Sometimes our events are low key such as grade level breakfasts while others include a fun filled afternoon in laser tag competition. Whether a new or returning student, we encourage you to become involved in these opportunities outside of the classroom. We as teachers and administrators know that it's these special events each year that make the long lasting memories for years to come.
