2019-2020 School Year

Written By: Dr. James Taylor
Dear Calvary Family,

It is humbling to realize all the blessings we have experienced this past year as a school family. Campus improvement projects like the new kitchen and remodeled cafeteria; our new coffee shop, CAFE 252; the expansion of the STEM program and facility to include students in grades Pre-K through 12; and of course, the completion of our much lauded Specialty Sports Complex. In addition to our student-athletes enjoying countless victories these past three seasons, our High School Yearbook program won first in the nation for best yearbook team, and our Middle School Lego League Team travels to super-regionals after their recent regional win. Our Lower School, as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, did not rest on their laurels when expanding their Fine Arts program with amazing performances featuring vocal, dramatic, and visual arts. This pursuit of excellence across the grade levels paid dividends with the top 25% of our students scoring the highest ever SAT scores, with an average of 1350. In the spirit of Luke 2:52, we will continue to give God our best: academically, athletically, spiritually, and personally.

While we are enjoying every minute of our current school year, we know next year will be upon us quickly. In preparation for next school year, attached is the Tuition and Cost Fact sheet for 2019-2020. On Monday, February 4 you will receive an email that will walk you through the online re-registration process. Five of our grades went to waiting lists this school year, so re-registering in a timely fashion is very important to maintaining a spot for your child. A few items to note from the Tuition and Cost Fact sheet:
  • All of our students will purchase the annual lunch pass next year, so we have worked hard to keep the lunch expense low (LS-$3.61/meal; MS-$4.16/meal; HS-$4.72/meal);
  • After Focus Group suggestions, our Tuition Commitment fee due date has been extended to April 1, and the discount has been increased to help families ($100 for Pre-K & K and $200 for grades 1-12);
  • If you pay tuition in full, we have increased the discount from 2% to 3%.

The future is bright as Calvary continues to increase in local and national prominence as a school of unparalleled excellence. We have worked hard to keep private, Christian education affordable with tuition prices still thousands of dollars less than similar schools in our area. We simply could not do what we do without you, our Calvary families.

Enjoying the journey,

James E. Taylor
