Calvary Day School is proud to applaud the successes of the Class of 2018. Members of the Class of 2018 were accepted to over sixty-five colleges and universities across the nation and the world and were awarded over four million dollars in scholarship monies, with over 34% of the students receiving scholarships to attend prestigious colleges and universities. Approximately 58% of the Calvary Day School Class of 2018 were eligible to receive the HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships, which speaks to the overall high academic achievement of this class. The Class of 2018 also earned many individual academic accolades and awards, including the Engineering Club’s 1st Place at the Georgia Southern University Engineering Design Competition, Exchange Club Student of the Month, Exchange Club Student of the Year, Comcast Scholarship, Elks Lodge Scholarship, five Honors College acceptances, seven AP Scholar Awards, two AP Scholars with Honor, two AP Scholars with Distinction, and the Calvary Radical’s Math Team earning 3rd Place at the Georgia Southern Math Competition, just to name a few. We are so proud of the Class of 2019 and look forward to seeing how God will use them in their future endeavors.     • Specialty Sports Complex, the 83,000 sq. ft. turf CORE system premier athletic field, was completed April of 2018 and is one of the best outdoor playing surfaces in the South
     
  • Fine Arts Accomplishments

    • Artwork from a junior student chosen for the Southern Teachers Agency yearly calendar
    • Student won 3rd place in the Live Oak Public Library’s reading poster contest
    • Students had work displayed in the ISCAP (International Student Climate Art Program) show
    • Students sent portraits of orphans to be distributed to the children as part of  The Memories Project
    • 1st place in Area and 4th place in State—Extemporaneous speaking, Domestic
    • 1st place in Area and 4th place in State—Duo Dramatic Interpretation
     
  • Leadership and Service

    • Organizations supported by Calvary Day students: Living Vine, Operation Christmas Child, Ronald McDonald House and Teen Board, St. Jude   Children’s Research Hospital, Relay for Life, John 3:16 Medical Ministry, Wesley Community Center, Blessingdales, Salvation Army, Greenbriar, and No Longer Orphans
    • Over two thousand hours of work completed by seniors during their Senior Professional Internship Week
    • Calvary Upper School students donated over 14,000 hours of community service and contributed $28,301 to fund and support local community organizations
    • National Honor Society inducted 25 transfer students and new members this year, bringing total membership to 50
