Quite often in our society the individuals who receive recognition and honor are those that take part in activities or areas of service in which everyone can see their actions or efforts. However, I was reminded the other day how important the individuals are that work behind the scenes, helping to support the mission and vision of any organization. As I walked through one of our halls, there was a group of moms gathering together for Bible study and prayer. These special ladies meet each week to take time and pray for our school, faculty, staff, and each of our students. A famous Christian author, S. D. Gordon, once said, “The great people of the earth today are the people who pray, not those who talk about prayer, but I mean those who take time and pray.” I am so thankful for our Moms in Prayer group who are continually covering our campus with prayer. Just knowing that we have parents who are willing to regularly devote some of their time to go before the Lord on our behalf is an overwhelming reminder of how special it is to be a part of the Calvary family.
